CD Players/Head Units

CD, MP3, WMA, RDS?!
When you talk to someone about their car audio, they will tell you about the subwoofer, the tweeter, the speakers and the amplifier, but chances are they won’t say anything about the head unit. However, the head unit is extremely important in your car stereo system, because without it, there is no car stereo system. The CD player or head unit is the centrepiece of the car's sound system. Typically located in the centre of the dashboard, modern head units are densely integrated electronic packages housed in detachable faceplates. As high-end head units are not uncommon targets for theft, many head units can be integrated into the vehicle's alarm system.
We can offer all CD Players / Head Units options from the following brands:
iPod Adapter only?
If the only reason for an upgrade is to be able to play your iPod (or similar) through your car stereo system, why not save some money and purchase an iPod adapter? We can supply and fit adaptors to vacant CD changer ports on OEM radios. Sound will be digital via speakers and the iPod will be kept fully charged. Steering wheel controls will work as normal.
We can offer all adapter options from the following brands:
It’s difficult to suggest a head unit as they vary so greatly in price, style etc. If I were to suggest something, I’d always opt for an MP3 CD player allowing you to create custom CDs with up to 20x the amount of albums on one CD! I’d also suggest a head unit with an auxiliary input, allowing you to attach your iPod or other MP3 playing devices. I personally run a Pioneer DEH P700BT CD/MP3 in my car. But, maybe just an iPod adapter is all you need…
